Can't put in down once started. very impressive and easy to read. The protagonist David made the big decision of giving out his new-born baby girl for the kind purpose of sparing his wife the pain of haing a Down syndrome kid, only resulting in pain and suffering of the whole family in other ways unanticipated by him. Seems people's decisions are very often subtly affected by some desires to avoid or fix some kind of sufferings in early stage of life, only to find that this has created new pain and problems, sometimes even at the expense of hurting beloved ones. Possibly, if David could let go the uncured wound and face life as is, maybe things will turn out better for everybody. or maybe not, who knows.
