Maybe I had too many expectations but this book, eventually, didn't say anything new. I believe that is due to the fact that the author hasn't been able to find a nice way to mix science and fiction... Just to keep the readers' focus (at least for the ones without a medicine degree like me).

Lately new sci-fi books and authors are a rarity... I don't know why but i think it's a pity because sci-fi allows imaginaton to fly to the future and, without future, we are almost nothing...
The future of Horus heresy it's not a gorgeus future ;) but i love the epic breath, the ambition and ability to propose a whole universe.
Gav Thorpe, in my opinion, Is able to traslate such vision in a very intriguing story. I loved the mix between personal stories and the "epic army clashes".
The story is quite compelling giving also an explanation on how primarchs where born and a deeper understanding of the Alpha legion (even if i didn't like their role).
At the end of the book i was eagerly asking myself when the next episode of corax's raven will be' published.

Cicerone come non lo avresti mai voluto immaginare.
Alla prima filippica pensavo di essere interessato.
A meta' della seconda ho intuito che cicerone poteva essere anche catalogato tra i piu' strutturati e petulanti rompiballe della storia mondiale.

Alla terza ho capito esattamente perché Antonio (personaggio che - per altro - non amo assolutamente) lo voleva morto.
Dalla quarta filippica in poi mi sono domandato perché ci abbia messo tanto a farlo sparire...
Da leggere, probabilmente non tutto in ma volta.

Non mi e' piaciuto proprio ma non posso dire che sia un brutto libro, solo che e' noioso, di una noia profondissima.
Compratelo e vantatevi con i vostri amici... Quanto a leggerlo lascio a voi

Ho letto i commenti di altri possessori di questo libro e, evidentemente, non capisco niente di letteratura... Qualificarlo come un libro di fantascienza poi...
Bisognerebbe sempre diffidare dei libri che hanno in copertina delle frasi entusiastiche di altri autori degni di fama e buone recensioni. ... (continue)

Bisognerebbe sempre diffidare dei libri che hanno in copertina delle frasi entusiastiche di altri autori degni di fama e buone recensioni.
L'idea e' anche interessante, a tratti il racconto stuzzica la curiosità ma, purtroppo, niente di più. La storia ha tanti fili che l'autore, pero', non ha evidentemente idea di come far finire in una maniera sensata.
Perché la moglie che e' morta ma insiste per essere riportata in vita per tutto il libro a 10 pagine dalla fine cambia idea? Perché il protagonista si vuole così diligentemente immolare? Perché meta' dei cattivi muore in 3 parole? Perché finisce così senza una fine?
Perché diavolo l'ho comprato e l'ho letto?
