    Found it alongside another book about vampires. So, being that it was by Anne Rice, for a good 300 pages I kept expecting someone to turn out to be a vampire...

    Two words not about the subject matter, but about this edition itself: they tried to cram too many pages in a paperback, and that didn't leave enough room for the central margin. So it's practically impossible to read it without ending up with breaking the spine... ... (continue)

    Found in a pictoresque little street of Vienna...
    It's chick-lit, and yet, surprisingly, a page turner, especially at the beginning. Falls a bit flat towards the end.
    Makes you crave very hot curry, so make sure you have some at hand. Made me cry. The curry.

  • A family of hunters are turned into ducks. I like children's books, and don't mind them to be over-simplistic, but I found this a bit unoriginal. There must be thousands of stories based on this idea. Perhaps not so back when it was written?
