樂壇上 Beatles 拆了伙, 各自揾食:
Ringo Starr, John Lennon, Paul McCartney &Wings, ELO (簡直是 eletric beatles),The Village People, Captain and Tennille, Donna Summer, KISS (真面目是一個謎?), Cher, Peter Frampton, Jacksons (Jacksons Five 變Jacksons, MJ 仍未食自己), Elton John, Smokey Robinson, 百變的 David Bowie, SuperTramp, Billy Joel ......

你記得iPod,MP3 前身是甚麼嗎? Ummm ... MD, 再前些是CD, 那麼再之前呢? Cassette, 那再再再之前呢? 黑膠唱片??? 有冇嘢 in-between 呀?

不看此書幾乎遺忘了有樣東西叫開卷式錄音帶, 書中正好有幾個 open reel cassette deck 的廣告.

此外本書有大量的香煙, 洒, 汽車等等.

好的廣告本身就是 a piece of art!

本書作者搜集大量中共宣揚 "美好的共產主義", "階級鬥爭" 與及 "神化"毛澤東 一等海報. 看著看著不禁想起金庸小說中的神龍教, 星宿派, 日月神教等, 原來半點也沒有誇大.

火紅的年代 ... 事過境遷, 看海報描繪得愈美好, 益發看見內中醜惡. 當感性蓋過理性, 原來可以是極危險的!

此書尺寸比普通的大, 亦厚達三百多頁, 海報的量與質也極高, Taschen 又一傑作, highly highly recommended.

Pinball machine has longed been my favourite pasttime since I was a kid. This book quench part of my thirst of reminiscing the good/bad old days.

It started with some classical models without flippers and then introduce later ones. Unfortunately this book was published in the 90s that it did not capture much of the models thereafter where some of them reflect what's popular of the ages e.g. theme which catch the latest movie etc.

Too sad that with the invasion of PC games, pinball machines lose its popularity. Actually it is a game which requires struggle between Man and Machine. What a thrill it is to hear the 'pop', 'clark' sound when a replay is earned.

My only disappointmen for this book is that it cannot satisfy my hunger for the pinball passion. This book only have around 100 pages. I would require a book which is more close to a encyclopedia type which illustrate every PB machine models :-)

這本書很好玩, 不錯, 我說 "很好玩". 因本書把柯德莉夏萍生活點滴的小物件, 原物大小地複製, 置於十多個 folder 當中. 例如 孩童年代的相片集, 戰時的通行証, 大使館的通函, 母親的素描, 合約, 影迷信, Oscar receipt, 兒子出生的 announcement, 電報, Breakfast at Tiffany 的 script 與票子等 ...... , 一一呈現眼前.

書中把 Hepburn 分八個階段,附上美麗的相片, 計有 :

夏萍迷, 大破慳囊吧 !!

Got this book in early 90s through mail-order (Amazon don't even exists). It contains excerpts from Masters like :

Einstein, Feynman, Pierre Curie, Planck, Issac Asimov, Arthur Clark, Bertrand Russell, Stephen Hawking, Hardy, Carl Sagan, Karl Popper and many many others ......

Frankly dont know 100% of the content; but at the same time dont be scared, not all the essays contain complicated formulae.

Thanks for anobii that I revisited this old friend when I clear up my old book piles. Still a good companion for enjoyable reading. Trust me, you will have different views and understanding when you read the same book at different stages of your life!

一向喜歡閱讀廣告, 隨了欣賞創意之外, 廣告很大程度反映當代的精神面貌. 此書搜集了大量六十年代美國廣告, 可能應用了數碼技術, 色彩鮮明的還原了原本 ad poster 風貌.

年過四十者當可從本書的產品懷舊一番, 從打字機 (十餘歲者已可能不知 typewriter 為何物), 以至汽車, 玩具, 航空公司, 家電,食品, 香煙等 .... 剎是有趣.
