A Prayer for Owen Meany: (Modern Library) By John Irving, John Berger
Fountainhead, The: (Centennial Edition) By Ayn Rand
The Da Vinci Code By Dan Brown
The Griffin & Sabine Trilogy Boxed Set: Griffin & Sabine/Sabine's Notebook/The Golden Mean By Nick Bantock
  • Creative and Intriguing

A bit mysterious, but a truly creative series. It's a unique experience to read these books whose story is told by reading letters and looking at artwork. Don't really get the ending...maybe multiple readings would help explain. Overall a bit elusive but worth it.

Catcher in the Rye By J.D. Salinger
The Cider House Rules By John Irving
The Time Traveler's Wife By Audrey Niffenegger
Still life with Woodpecker By Tom Robbins
About a Boy: (Movie Tie-In) By Nick Hornby
  • Saw the movie first and it was a movie that really stayed with me. Seeing it first may have helped me "get" the main characters in the book better and it did enrich my reading. This is pretty good but I may have liked the movie better for once!

Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil By Berendt, John Berger, John Berendt
  • Skip the movie!

Excellent and intriguing. Great writing, and compelling characters and descriptions. The movie doesn't come close to capturing all the detail and history. A non-fiction book with the feel of a greatly imagined story.

The God of Small Things By Arundhati Roy
  • Melancholy in tone, this was a rather sad book but the writer's use of language was creative and vivid.
