Well written story but I miss Erlendur. He is still in the West Fjords and in the story he is only a distant presence. The story gives the way to Sigurdur who is the main character, revealing pieces of his past life. I definitely hope that Erlendur will come back in the next story.

Libro che ho trovato interessante soltanto nella parte iniziale fino alla dominazione romana e alla fine nei capitoli dedicati alla nascita dello stato di Israele e alla situazione odierna. Nel mezzo una serie di descrizioni di personaggi e guerre che ho trovato personalmente troppo lungo e noioso.

Storia Di Una Capinera
Una storia che ci fa rivivere mille storie vissute da tante "sventurate" solo perché donne, non primogenite e senza dote. Trovo Verga sempre molto attuale nel raccontare uno spaccato di storia italiana che assurge a metafora di sentimenti universali.
