Just fun, again.

Pure escapism.
Battles, strange characters, fascinating blue women, filthy thoughts, english landscapes darkened by fogs and wolves, fights, a bit of poetry.
Fun for a rainy day. Nothing more. But fun.

Better than the latest Hornby. Not astonishing but surely nice and well written.

Haddon seems to translate the Asperger Syndrome into the language of poetry and sensibility.
Being the character so unconscious of his and others' feelings, the topics of the book (a missing mother, a pet killed, and of course the asperger syndrome itself) never sound pathetic or soppy.
