This is one of the rare occasions in which I could not finish reading a book. I am not sure what it was; the story at the beginning seemed to be good, but then...It became so confusing. I could not understand what was happening; characters coming and going in a very blurred way. All the time, while reading it, it gave me the same feeling one has when watching television and there is some interference so images and audio cannot be well perceived.
Storie picaevoli da leggere, nel classico stile di Camilleri, ambientate nel periodo del fascismo. Forse un po' ripetitive. Tra tutte, "Un Giro di Giostra" la storia piu delicata.
Non il migliore libro di Mazzantini, ma nemmeno da buttare. Molto cupo e disordinato all'inizio; ma poi il tutto prende forma e migliora. Mi e' piaciuto come nella storia si passa da uno stato d'animo di sofferenza ed ansieta' nella prima parte, ad una trasformazione, verso la fine, in un sentiment

Mi e' piaciuto come nella storia si passa da uno stato d'animo di sofferenza ed ansieta' nella prima parte, ad una trasformazione, verso la fine, in un sentimento di "risollevamento", di "buona conclusione" di un evento (da non confondere con un lieto fine).

The book is the autobiography of Prof.M. Yunus, the founder of Grameen Banks (micro-credit banks), through which he made possible for the very poor to borrow money (micro-loans). The book is not particularly well written, but Yunus's story is quite amazing, sometimes unbelievable. Yunus's determination and his positive attitudes are just incredible, his way of carrying on at trying to make poverty a thing of the past so inspiring. A book that everybody should read. 4 stars is for what Yunus did (and it should be many more) rather than for how the book was written (for this I would give 3 stars).
