This was the first (and so far last) I tried by Michael Connelly. I found it just didn't have enough direction for me. It also seemed to be patronising the reader by slavishly reminding about details that appeared just a few pages ago. Truly unimpressed.

The characters in this book seem so real, I can almost see them doing what they're described as doing before I read the description in the book. It's the only book I can remember feeling that about. Exciting, absorbing, thought-provoking in its conclusion.

Animal Farm
Read this at school and found it both fascinating and moving. Reflecting on it also really started me figuring how people can be two-faced. I think I should have learned this later, and learned it a lot better!
