This is a book of short stories. I was intrigued by the description on the back of the book and bought it on a whim. I tend to look for books that seem realistic and like they could actually happen. This book certainly fit the bill in that respect. I picked up this book after my mom recommended it and I really enjoyed it. I felt like the main character in the book was someone I actually knew! This book was great, and I would recommend anyone give it a try!

I didn't think I was going to be able to finish this book after reading only the first couple chapters because it was so sad. I'm glad I made myself finish the bookt though, because it was an excellent story!

I didn't hate this book, but it just didn't compare to other books that I've read that dealt with drug abuse.

I wasn't too sure I was going to like this book but I'm glad I stuck it out. It turned out to be a pretty good story and I wouldn't mind trying another book by this author.

It took me the first couple chapters to get into this story, but once I got past that I really enjoyed the book. It was a bit scary, the way you followed along as this womans disease progressed, but interesting and informative the whole way through.

One of the most interesting books I have read in awhile. I did find it a bit disturbing (as was the intent of the book I suppose) but it was so well written I had a hard time putting it down. The book was exciting the whole way through and I can hardly wait to read the second book!

I love true stories, and this one was pretty good! I like to read stories about people who overcome their hardships and really make a great life for themselves, and that is exactly what happens with these three generations of Chinese women. Great book!
