Okay so its a good book and ya I'll probably buy the rest of the trilogy because mainly it has one really interesting character that leaves you wanting to read more about her!

The plotline is original in alot of ways and there are a good many twists that you dont see coming towards the end but I don't know, maybe it was because of all the hype I was expecting something more but I just don't think its the brilliant, astounding piece of work that its being made out to be.

The character of Lisbeth is so original and interesting that any chapters which contain her are definitely the highlights of the whole book!

Anyway to sum it up I think its a very good thriller, maybe a cut above most out there at the moment but nothing to get too excited about. Lets all calm down a notch!!

This may have been the most ridiculous load of over-romantic, cliched tripe I have ever read. The writing was atrocious, the 'hip' modern day references were cringeworthy, the characters were braindead idiots and the plot was just plain stupid.

The only, and I mean the only, reason I gave it two stars instead of a measly one was that the plot had something to do with horses which was the main reason why I bought it in the first place. Learning about horse racing was the only highlight of the book even if it was the very basics, the author was too busy making her characters get it on in the back's of horseboxes to worry about the actual horses.

I like a romance novel as much as the next girl but I like to be able to empathise with the characters. How anyone could empathise with these charaters is beyond me they're so unrealistic.

Anyway I blame myself entirely I should have known when the review on the front cover was from Heat magazine....

I haven't watched any episodes of True Blood so this was completely new to me and wow I loved it! Twilight pales in comparison. This is a much more exciting love story with a lot more to the characters than Twilight. Maybe because its aimed at slightly older readers.

Sookie is a fantastic character and I really love Bill, he's so much more appealing than Edward! Enough comparisons with Twilight though as this is so much better there isn't even anything worth comparing. The vampires are as vampires should be, scary, sexy and all have an evil streak!

Will be buying the following books as soon as I can get to a bookstore!!

This is a brilliant book! Its such a lovely read, I think every child should have a copy! Matilda is the sweetest child ever and you cant help but feel so sorry for her with her cruel parents. The Trunchbull is a brilliantly evil character.

The movie version is fantastic also and they brought the story across from book to film really well making it even better if anything. A great Roald Dahl book!

At first I thought this was going to be another Twilight copycat, what with the werewolves and all but its okay. At times I felt that it was a badly written version of Twilight sure, but if you give it a chance there is a nice story there.

I do like the narrative style with one chapter from Grace and the next from Sam. That style has always appealed to me in a book. Aside from that the wolves are described fantastically and you really get the feel for the woods and the surrounding area. Some parts are cringeworthy in their cliche's but it's hard to write a romance these days without a werewolf popping up somewhere isn't it?!

No really if you enjoyed Twilight you'll like this. If you disliked Twilight avoid this like the plague.

I find myself unusually lost for an opinion on this book. It was okay, it wasn't fantastic by any means but it wasn't bad either. Odd is just that, odd. He's interesting at times, at times he's a little too strange. I liked the premise of the book, seeing dead people and that but it didn't quite live up to the first chapter.

It dragged on in places and the bits about his parents seemed irrelevant to the plot and didn't add anything to the story in my opinion. I did like Odd and I liked Stormy too but again both are strange characters.

The plot itself is good but if he had livened up the story abit it would have been a lot better. The scene in the old brothel is good and probably my favourite bit of the book. It's the only part where my heart started to pound anyway.

It does what it says on the tin. Its an odd book.

This was a good read. Not what I was expecting at all. I've read one other of Gilligan's books and I thought that although it was a good read there wasn't anything highly original about it, it was missing something but... this one found the something!

Although it's abit disturbing during one particular part especially, it has a lot of good points that make up for the depressing parts. Gilligan has employed a very Cecelia Ahernish style of writing in this book just with the fantastical element toned down a bit. Since Im an Ahern fan I really enjoyed it.

I hope Gilligan continues writing as she inspires me so much being from Ireland and the same age as me. I think she's only going to get better with age.

Wow this was really, really good!! I thought the first book in the millenium trilogy was highly over rated but the second two really improve. Girl who kicked the hornets nest just improves on girl who played with fire. Even though its a hunk of a book it never once gets boring as it's written in such a fast paced style you'll never find it tedious.

Salander as usual is the best thing in it, I loved seeing what she would come up with next. Blomkvist is slightly annoying and his romance with Figuerola seems to be abit pointless as if the author felt he should have some romance in the book so he shoved this in. I don't get the whole premise of him sleeping with up to three different women simultaneously and none of them minding all that much. But its a minor flaw as there isn't that much attention paid to his lovelife in the final book. Its as if even Larsson got bored with it!! Niedermann is such an evil character I love him!

All in all a brilliant book the only truely bad point may be that some people may be intimidated by the books size but please don't let that put you off it's well worth it!! Enjoy...

Okay so I have a collection of Dahl books that I've had with a while that Im trying to get through bit by bit. This has been so far the least entertaining. It's his autobiography of his years serving in the second world war for Britain.

Parts are interesting and sometimes even funny but just wasn't what I was expecting when I picked it up I suppose. I do like how he retains that innocent feel to the book which is present in every Dahl book I think.

Ultimately disappointing...

This was way better than the first in the trilogy. The story was much more original and better characters were introduced, it is simply a much better book.Its strange to read a book based in Sweden as it's so unusual, I think most people including myself are used to reading thrillers based in New York or some other American city so its really quite refreshing actually.

I love Salander and there is abit of the book where she disappears for awhile and it suffers without her. She is a brilliant character and you really root for her to come through everything and be ok. Blomkvist, we don't see as much of as in the previous book which I think is an improvement, he's an okay character but its Lisbeth we're really interested in.

Now Im extremely excited about settling down to read the final and third book. Girl who played with fire is a cracker of a read and I'd recommend it to a friend, as they say!!

Ok so this started badly but it did get better as the story progressed and ended pretty well I thought. The writing wasn't fantastic though and it was very cliched in parts. I hate authors who describe peoples hair as 'slivers of shimmering sunlight'. Its too...lovey dovey or something.

Anyway the plotline with the shapeshifters and witchs and stuff was interesting enough (if you're into that kind of stuff, which I am) to keep me reading and their romance got less cliche and more entertaining as the book progressed also. I may buy the rest of the trilogy but only if I stumble onto the books somewhere, I won't be searching the bookstores anyway.

This was better than the first shockingly enough. I thought it was going to be hard for the author to make the second book as interesting as the first as she was now mostly building on characters instead of introducing fresh new ones but wow... she surpassed herself.

Sookie is even more likeable in this book and you can't help but love her. Bill is once again an instantly attractive character, as is Eric though somewhat more dangerous. Bringing Sookie out of her comfort zone to Dallas was genious and the scenes with the vampire nest governed by the scary Stan were brilliant. The introduction of other supernatural creatures such as more shapeshifters and the maenad was also a high point of the book. Clearly she's building this up for bigger things in future books.

Living Dead in Dallas has just the right amount of blood, sex and violence!! I loved it!

Obviously I've seen the film version of the Notebook, as every girl seems to have, but I have never read any of Sparks books before. I was lent this by a very enthusiastic Miley Cyrus fan and thought I'd give it a go. I haven't seen the film version but I honestly don't think I'd be up for it after reading the book. This was heart-breaking enough.

Ok so its seems that Nicholas Sparks has definitely got a way with romantic novels judging by his success but this did seem all too close to the Notebook's plotline. I liked it, and the end was inevitably heart-breaking which I'm going to take the liberty of guessing all of Spark's books are but there wasn't anything too original about it. I even thought in places the writing wasn't fantastic.

I doubt I'll read more of Sparks books as this was too depressing. Im not into depressing books. Its a good soppy romance I suppose and be prepared to cry, if you don't you're made of stone.

Okay well this book is definitely my least favourite of the seven books. It unfortunately drags a lot and hasn't got as strong a plot as previous books. It seems to plod along aimlessly and ends in a kind of unrelated finale that comes out of nowhere really.

Umbridge was a brilliant character to introduce however and I really enjoyed hating her!! The film version of this book was also the least enjoyable of the lot but the recent trailers for the Half Blood Prince looks really good and just have to refresh my memory reading the book before it comes out!!

Thankfully this book was much better than its predecessor and restored my faith once again in the genius of JK Rowling! Love the introduction of a more hormonal group of teenagers which of course would be the norm at their age! Have to admit I still bawl crying at the last few chapters even though Iv read the book at least three or four times now! Cant wait for the film! Cliffs of Moher appear in it which isn't too far from me!!
