- The author seemed to unable to grasp the reasons that CCP was so popular back then, although she gave a great deal of evidence for the reasons in the book, which makes people wonder if she is unwilling to accept or admit the conclusion. I hope not.
- The author sensasionally brought up some events as some grave secrets that have never been exposed, e.g. the seige of Changchun, but the matter of fact is that there were books (although not so high profile and cheerful) about them and people knew about them. You simply can't use a regular cab driver's unwareness of these events to project that they were hidden secrets.
