Made for a Man, Good Enough for a Woman -
Bought this at B&N at the discount bin for $3. It's perfect for the evenings when I'm feeling incredibly lazy. The recipes are very simple, complete with pictures of the actual canned goods brand you're supposed to use. All recipes are grouped into sections (poultry, vegetables, pork (ugh!), ... (continue)

This book was a very quick read, since Patricia Briggs paints a wonderful world where the wolf pack mentality is portrayed in a fascinating light. This isn't your average werewolf story...or is it? (Ref. Spoiler Below) Either way, it was interesting to watch the growing relationship between Anna and Charles. Additionally, the plot gives the reader a chance to see pack interaction between continents. Good book. I wouldn't rush to buy it, but it's still laying the foundation for the interesting world of werewolves by Patricia Briggs.
[**SPOILER**]
While I love the Charles & Anna pairing, Anna is beginning to exhibit "Mary Sue" traits, which annoys me greatly. This is the 2nd story where she somehow finds a backbone and kills the main villain. Utter BS! Do I think that Charles should kill everything since he's the pack assassin? No. Do I think that Anna should always cower in fear because of the difficult times with her first pack? No. But being a prized Omega (a dominant wolf with a "zen attitude" plus the ability to defy Alphas) AND the "Chosen" one by the fae to kill the "Lady of the Lake" with a magical dagger formerly bestowed to King Arthur?! Ok, Briggs...You're really pulling plots out your @ss with that one.
