Noioso, ripetitivo, frammentario: non sembra davvero scritto da un accademico anglosassone. Nonostante gli entusiastici elogi riportati in copertina è una lettura non tanto improba ma ingiustificata: lo sforzo non vale il contenuto. Noioso, ripetitivo, frammentario: non sembra davvero scritto da un accademico anglosassone. Nonostante gli entusiastici elogi riportati in copertina è una lettura non tanto improba ma ingiustificata: lo sforzo non vale il contenuto. L'esposizione piatta e involuta non rende giustizia ad un periodo storico tra i più avvincenti. Soldi sprecati e immagino sia lo stesso per la traduzione italiana pubblicata da Einaudi. Cercherò comunque di portarlo a termine.

Tolstoy in versione teo-con. E' troppo anche per un conservatore come me, per quanto talune analisi di teorie estetiche siano di qualche interesse mentre invece quella di Tolstoj, alquanto elementare, viene ripetuta fino alla noia e risulta piuttosto difficile, quantomeno per me, da accettare. E' troppo anche per un conservatore come me, per quanto talune analisi di teorie estetiche siano di qualche interesse mentre invece quella di Tolstoj, alquanto elementare, viene ripetuta fino alla noia e risulta piuttosto difficile, quantomeno per me, da accettare. Basti pensare che in base alla suddetta teoria Dante o Beethoven non hanno prodotto arte di buona qualità.
