James May's magnificent machines -
The best thing to come out of Top Gear (which I also love). Very funny, well written and very easy to read

Really enjoyed this. Unusual to have a book that starts in a cemetery. Thought the suffragette mum was interesting. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

A happy and confortable read. Love Tricki Woo. Have always loved All Creatures Great and Small. This is the best of that.

The time travellers wife -
We read this at my reading group. Mixed reviews. I liked it but it made me cry at the end. I thought the child and deceased parent meeting up through time travel was heartbreaking.

We read this in my book group. We liked that it was set in Cambridge, where we are. It was a little confusing at first, jumping around. The little girl that goes missing and the toy tugs at your heart strings. And when the killer is revealed, their explanation is heart breaking.

I thought this was refreshing, very interesting and would re-read it. The photo of Tony Blair being a 'horsey' for Leo is so sweet.

We read this for book group. Nicholas so not a likable character. The blind girl is though and I was so pleased she didn't have to marry the awful chap and instead got a man who loved her. Very interesting information on tapestry making instead

Read on a train in the bleak winter with snow outside, which I felt suited the mood of the book perfectly! Very well written, very interesting. Enjoyed it.

The bethlehem murdersA sad poignant book taking place in the light of religious hostility in Bethlehem where murder and sadness sit hand in hand, and decency is a dirty word.
