  故事的主軸是觀察boto，
  一種特別的海豚，
  根據Dictionary.com的定義為
  a freshwater South American dolphin, Inia geoffrensis, having a long snout and fluctuating in color between pink and gray:
  inhabits the Amazon and Orinoco river systems.
  最喜歡書中人物從接近自然，增進了解，改變想法。
  書中描述主角和boto的互動，最是溫馨。
  作者描述的自然不全然是美好、安全或完好，
  但終究有良善的人，
  願意為自然盡一份力，

  Boy

  因為熟悉也喜歡Charlie and the Chocolate Factory這本書和電影，因此當在二手書店看到這本Boy: Tales of Childhood，便想探就Roald Dahl這位充滿想像力的多產作家的童年。

  值得一提的是，
  這本二手書的原本的主人出奇地用功，
  幾乎查遍重要的單字，
  讓閱讀這本書，
  輕鬆無比。

  這本自傳跨越了三個階段：
  1.Llandaff Cathedral School (1923-5) (age 7-9)
  2.St Peter’s, 1925-9 (age 9-13)
  3.Repton and Shell, 1929-36 ... (continue)

  也因為如此，
  這本書才能有如此豐富的回顧。

  讓我了解Roald Dahl創作的多元性實在來自於不一樣的童年，
  也是深受母親獨立、冒險、挑戰個性的影響。
  Roald Dahl的敘述功力好極了，
  閱讀這本書，
  有笑，
  有同感，
  有同情，
  讀者分享了他的成長和歷練，
  對於Roald Dahl創作將有更多的體悟和了解，
  也更想閱讀更多他的作品。
