In the Shadow of Young Girls in Flower

Proust is a master, and what I love the most is that every time I read him, I feel the urge to write. I feel that my writing improves and I feel the drive to express myself in writing. I love him for that.

I totally loved this book. Proust capacity to describe every single detail of a scene, the interior life of the characters, and the exterior world they live in, is a constant stimulus to creativity. His book is a must for all those that want to exercise their writing skills.

Me obligaron a leerlo. No estoy segura.

The picture of Dorian Gray -
OMG! Every time I read this book I discover a new universe. This time it is about love and relationships. How good is this book! I love it!
This is the story of a young, innocent and extremely good looking boy who takes a job as a sitter for a famous painter. When a picture of him is finished, he l ... (

The work I liked the most was Melmoch Reconciled. Although, I loved the preface too. In Melmoch, the hero is a very ordinary man that kind of wins a “supernatural lottery” and is granted all his wishes at the moment he states them. The only thing he cannot wish is to die, and it ends up being the only thing he truly wants. Balzac is a master when it comes to describe human nature, and these two stories at least are texts that everyone should read at some point in life.
