It's well worth reading if only for those three or four which should be rated separately five stars (true masterpieces). Unfortunately there are also many average and some incredibly dull ones, which tend to ruin the overall experience.

Two books, 1000 or so pages just to put the pieces on the chessboard. Nothing really happens, and what *does* happen is very often predictable. So much so that many times you just think "right, I know where this is going, could we just *get* there already?"
It's very well written, it's obvious that Sanderson put a great deal of effort and care in writing this novel, so it saddens me a lot to say that these have been probably the most boring 1000 pages I've ever read.
