L'autore è uno dei più apprezzati della narrativa spagnola contemporanea; ma sarà a causa del fatto che in questi anni, dopo l'exploit del "Codice da Vinci", c'è un proliferare di questo genere di romanzi che ruotano attorno a codici criptati, profezie, misteri e quant'altro, insomma non sono riuscito ad apprezzare la storia in sé, che appare inverosimile fin dalle premesse iniziali.
