VERY GOOD JAPANESE LANGUAGE BOOK, BUT...
...it is not good for self-study. A teacher is needed, because grammar notes are very synthetic and the student cannot understand them without an explicit intervention of a teacher. Dialogues are very lively and vocabulary very rich, though. I recommend the book for Japanese classes.
