May be because I am a fan of action movies or fictions, I cannot endure the self reflections and portrayal of subtle changes in the emotions of the characters. Plus, grief and remorse seem to dominate the whole plot while there are very few, if any, crests or troughs that (like, the characters might come up with some more positive ways to tackle instead of evading their problems) bring a temporary relief for the readers. I would personally consider this fiction a bit verbose and monotonous. Yet, the plot is reasonable, as the disputies between the father and the mother cannot be resolved easily, the father's death may be a suitable but sad way to settle this problem........
