May be my background has nothing to do with Taiwan, I find the first chapter quite boring. Fortunately, when the author talks about something else, the book becomes more interesting. May be my background has nothing to do with Taiwan, I find the first chapter quite boring. Fortunately, when the author talks about something else, the book becomes more interesting. Ironically, her articles on Nazi and reunited of Germany do provide food for thinking. As usual, her articles on her love and affection to her parents and children still touch me deeply. In particular, I can't help chucking in reading the (pseduo?) interview of her mother and son.
