  古玉 is one half of the story, I really cannot recall my impression of reading it back nearly half a century ago, daily in Mingpao.

  古玉 is one half of the story, I really cannot recall my impression of reading it back nearly half a century ago, daily in Mingpao.
  But it is really a smart short story. No special SF, instead it is a guess of the words of a dying man. More like riddle and adventure. The final ending is very sarcastic.The gangster emperor just got betrayed by his most timid stuff and got a stroke right away. The old Jade was never seen, the owner's father actually lost it in gambling and the winner could not sell or send it away.........all are things of helplessness in life.
  Ngai Hong is really not a bad SF writer, I used to despise him comparing to Jules Verne,AC CLarke,Issac Asimov. Not such good scientific background and grand plot, but the originality and smart stories make Ngai Hong impressive when reviewed after half a century.
