作者簡介
珍．奧斯汀（Jane Austen）
1775年出生於英國的史帝文頓，有六個兄弟和一個姐姐，七歲時隨著姊姊和表姊前往牛津求學，十三歲開始嘗試寫作，二十一歲完成第一部小說。她終生未婚，不斷創作，1817年於溫徹斯特過世。做為英國最受推崇的小說家，膾炙人口的作品有：《傲慢與偏見》、《勸導》、《理智與情感》、《諾桑覺寺》、《愛瑪》、《曼斯菲爾德莊園》等。
