作者簡介
許倬雲
1930年出生於江蘇無錫。終身從事教育研究的史學工作者，其研究興趣主要在社會經濟史與文化史。曾任教於國立臺灣大學、美國匹茲堡大學、杜克大學、夏威夷大學、香港中文大學、香港科技大學，也在中央研究院長期擔任研究工作，現已退休。
