As the title suggested, this is a collection of sixty something love letters to soccer, from a bunch of local soccer commentators. As "love letters" should be, very personal. However, these are not actual writers, so from the writing point of view, these are very poor writings. There's no story and things tend to repeat over and over again. "I fall in love with soccer because I grew up watching lat night soccer games with my father..."; "...because my boyfriend is a big soccer fan." And the reason I like a certain player because he is "cool", "good looking", "smart". I have to skip quickly and at the end I really didn't gain anything from this book.
I don't know, may be I am not as passionate about soccer as I was before. Or may be this is the reason why!
