村上春樹，一九四九年一月生於日本兵庫縣，在港都神戶長大。早稻田大學戲劇系畢業後，在東京經營咖啡店，三十歲時推出第一部創作小說〈聽風的歌〉，得到一九七九年的群像新人獎。以後的作品又陸續獲得野間文藝新人獎和谷崎潤一郎獎。作品風格獨特，時髦新鮮，魅力十足。

Who can bypass this classic? It was my first read of Murakami and my heart will weight so much whenever I reread this book (must have 5 times + in 15 years). This book mesmerizes and put you in daze for days..... and weeks.
