I read this novel long time ago. I lost my original copy and so I bought this republished copy recently. I still find the story fascinating. The humour is subtle - an alien that came to Earth thousands years ago and thought cats were the masters of Earth as the Egyptians worshipped cats. So the alien decided to "take over" a cat's body. Big mistake.
