It is the first book I read of this famous Japanese author. It is more like a history than a novel. There is far more details on races and countries involved. The person lacks flesh and blood, though you can feel the character of the persons mentioned vividly.
There are several educational points, during the invasion of Jing Empire. There are good description of the difference in concept and paradigm in soldiers and governance. How Genghis Khan succeed in reorganisation
and tolerates the many craftsman and good fighters of various races and countries to make Mongol into a greatest empire in history is by itself a topic worth pursuing. However, it is only described on the surface.
