Book Description

Wonderful wonderful book! I missed the movie in the HK Asian film festival in November 2011, it was all sold out. So it's worthwhile to read the book first, now I want to see the movie. I like the feelings of facing all these hardship alone in a far away place. I really felt for the author. Fortunately, this only last a few months and at the end he can go back to his comfort home. I can't help but thinking what if someone has to face all these difficulities and loneliness his/her whole life, with no end in sight (well, the end is death!) How would that person feel, day in and day out?

i read this book before i came to work and holiday in australia alone. at that time, i did not care about my master degree, my family, my friends. i dropped off everything, including my life, the real world. all i cared about is my travel, walkabout. as reading this book, i was moved by the way he described nature. i was encouraged to be more excited about the unknown life and adventure. all the negative thoughts are gone. i almost could feel the same courage as him to be alone.
