3 parts, first on some chinese history, secondly on some old movies and Shakespeare, and lastly on Peking opera and some of his tours.
Most of them reflects his wide and deep knowledge, some written when he was in his 30s,his shallow concept[ in his review],and youth black and white and over simplistic world view of communist of those years.
The most attractive part was his little article on his childhood maid worker. Well written and filled with sentiments. We knew how he would teared with the fate of characters he created. A lovely person he really is.
