Book Description
Continue

very interesting story which , in 1950s, I started to read its later half when it was in Mingpao and I was in Kindergarten. It is only half a century later, when I finish reading it from start to end.
The story was very crude in every aspect, all the characters nearly do never appear again.
It was written as a request from the demand for modern day martial art story and a chinese version of the James Bond, romantic , adventure, firearm, western gangsters, secret treasure, and visiting various big cities of the rest of the world. After so many years, the world has changed so much and such tings are no longer in big demand.
A special feature is that Waiseelei loved Lai Ming Mui almost at once and Shek Kuk loved Wai almost at once for utterly no reason at all....a typical copycat of James Bond and Bond girls......but in this story, not even the glamous of Wai has been offered as a reason.
Adventure and modern martial art story was probably the original intention. Ngai Hong probably could not imagine that later it will turn into a SF legend.
At least in the first two books he remain so.
It is not a successful novel by all means. But a good start in retrospect
