  • I liked it far more than the first time I've read it.
Brutha is not my favourite character, but he does grow on you while you're reading. Also Om gets better, and Vorbis is one of those really terrifying villains that Pterry writes so well.

Usual fantastic Terry Pratchett: intelligent, observant, thought provoking and terribly funny. I loved this book, which is among his most serious ones, along with Thud!. It's very intelligent and thought-provoking, and sad, in a way. It's a good story - as it always is with him - and it pokes fun at the narrow-minded, integralist mentality that often characterises ardent believers.

As somebody who is unconvinced by religion and still asks herself a lot of questions about it and how it should or should not relate to the world, I think this is an amazing book that should be read in schools, because it makes you think, really, without ever being boring, and it's a great story. Recommended!

  • Once again, Terry Pratchett is confirmed as one of the best writers of our century. This amazing book is able to make you think over religions, with such a subtle humor that is actually impossible not to laugh while reading it. Thumbs up!
