    Funny, but flawed.

The first part of the book I really liked, a recognizable character and funny writing. The second part was not as good: an uninteresting love interest, combined with an uninteresting journey.
The ending was unsatisfying. A change in character that seemed to fall out of the sky and some political and philosofical rambling.

Kunkel can write very funny, but his plotting could use some work.

Delightful and interesting, a book to be read obviously in english. Kunkel excellently portraits a way of feeling and behaviour common in our lazy epoch. [to be continued]

  • I loved the narrator. The narrator was unique, and funny. The writing was superb. But.. I didn't really care for the protagonist. A book I won't remember, or recommend .. . .
