I had not read this book in school - although I know many who did - so I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was written, and even enjoyable for someone twice as old as a high schooler.
There are segments of "over-wording," where the details are piled on and described for pages at a time, but overall the story flows very well. At times you are in the rabbits' world, sensing their fear and excitement as though you were there.
A long read, but well worth the effort in the end.
