My son came home talking about these books even though he hadn't read them. Because I wanted to encourage him to read, I bought the first one and found myself engulfed in the fairy world *LOL* I am not one for fairy stories but this is very good and I love the attitude of Artemis and the clever names the author uses for the places/people in the book.
Artemis is quite intriguing to read about, a 12 year old criminal mastermind should always be intriguing and Eoin Colfer did a great job portraying this character well in his book.
I liked the author's humor and I look forward to reading more in this series. I really enjoyed the narrator and I hope it is the same on the future books.
