Poor Hardy! The theme of passion and marriage with its despair and darkness. Hardy can see no hope for those who marry. To him love can only exist in a pure form outside of the legal enactment. He obviously hates marriage and can only see it as the destroyer of love. No doubt his writing was coloure ... (continue)
