Okay, I'm sure there are a gazillion reviews on this already, so I'll just say that I very nearly stayed up all night to finish this the day I bought it - something I haven't considered doing in *years*. Listening to it on YouTube.
I picked up this book one day in Borders to see what all the hype was about. It was slow, in my opinion, in the beginning and I was growing impatient but then Bella sees Edward in the cafeteria and my suspense grew and I couldn't put it down after that. This love story is great and written well for a variety of ages. It's a very unconventional vampire story which is why I think I loved it so much. I loved how they incorporated one another into their lives and made it work no matter what their families and friends said.
This series gets better and better and leaves you breathless at the end, slightly depressed because there are no more books, but excited and wanting to re-read them all over again.
i absolutely love this book.
This was a great book! I couldn't put it down. Read it in two days!!
By far the best book I have read in years. I would re-read this book any day, and cannnot wait for the movie version to come out - though I can expect to be disappointed by the film. Meyer has a way of writing that allows me to picture the characters and their relationships perfectly, without using too much detail into the love life, or sexual life of the two main characters
While I generally won't go out of my to get a hold of a romance novel, or a vampire romance novel at that, I still liked this book.

I'm not all that fond of the typical 'fell madly in love and can't stand to be away one moment' type of thing, but it didn't ruin the story for me.
I'm glad my friend made me read this one. It's well written, and I enjoy the story. Now I'll just have to read the rest of them...
I love this book because there is somthing in there for everybody.

With his porcelain skin, golden eyes, mesmerizing voice, and supernatural gifts, Edward is both irresistible and impenetrable. Up until now, he has managed to keep his true identity hidden, but Bella is determined to uncover his dark secret.
What Bella doesn’t realize is the closer she gets to him, the more she is putting herself and those around her at risk. And, it might be too late to turn back. . . .
Deeply seductive and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight will have readers riveted right until the very last page is turned.
I picked up this book on vacation as a plane travel read, mostly to see what all the hype is about. It does suck you in quickly and hold your attention, but the length is very manageable... so, perfect for my plane ride.

I agree with one of the reviewers below: Bella does get annoying fast. However, other aspects of the book make up for it - such as the likability of the vampire characters, the author's spot-on descriptions of high schoolers, and the subtle yet effective injection of sexual tension throughout the story.
My sister loves these books and bugged me forever to read them and I kept putting them off. Sci-fi/Vampire books just usually aren't my thing, although she loves them. Who wouldn't want an Edward in their life? ;)
I love these books so much! The characters are great. I really couldn't put down this book until I was done- even the third time I read it!
I enjoyed reading this book but I would never recommend it to anyone else. I'm very embarrassed I enjoyed it and I'd consider it a very guilty pleasure. Bella gets annoying fast with her "I love him but I can't have him" routine. Also annoying is the fact that she is supposedly so plain, but suddenly has a billion teenage boys swooning over her. Pretty lame. But again, a guilty pleasure :D
A great book! If you ever want to read about vampires, you should read this book!
My friend Kelly gave this book to me at least a year ago. I *cannot* believe it took me so long to read it! Once I did, I was completely hooked.
A fairy-tale romance for the YA audience with a vampire playing the role of prince charming (in addition to the evil witch).
It’s taken me a long time to get around to reading this series, & know I regret waiting so long. It’s taken me a long time to get around to reading this series, & know I regret waiting so long. I’ve never been one for young adult novels, always finding them to juvenile, with just mushy kisses & no storyline, but I must say this series blew them all out of the water. Bella May be a high school student, & Edward may have to act like a high school boy, instead of a decades old vampire, but they are both wise beyond their years. This book was quite fun, with just a hint of high school drama. I would suggest these books to anyone, I’m starting the second book now, I can’t wait to see who Bella’s relationship with the vampire family progresses, & if Edward will bend to Bella’s will & make her immortal.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I knew that this was popular with the young adults from my time at Borders, and now I know why. The romance between Edward and Bella is just very well written. Meyer did a wonderful job creating her characters and making the audience really care what happens to them. As for a vampire story, it was very interesting her version of the vampire lore. The notion that it is venom that causes vampires to be made instead of just a bite is very interesting. Actually, I found most of her "rules" to be interesting. I am excited to read the next installments to see what is in store for these characters.
This is the first book I have read about vampires, and it was great! It really got me interested in the genre. I highly recommend this book.
Great book! One of the best vampire books written.
