My father was a fan of Rudyard Kipling. He wasn't a big reader, but he knew Kipling. The eulogy he wrote and delivered for my grandfather included a quotation from Kipling. Because of that, I have always enjoyed these stories.
I used the How the Leopard Got His Spots in my folktale unit.
