    I liked this novel at the same time I disliked it. I hope to re-read it sometime and not hurry through it as I did this time. I need to return it because it is due. I talked to a student about it the other day and she said she didn't like it because she didn't like the characters. I can relate to that. Ashley, the main character, made me mad a few times, but at the same time I thought she was a very real charcter. In Ashley's words she is "normal."I think this would be and interesting book to discuss and I look forward to suggesting it as discussion book for HHS Reads.

High school senior Ashley Hannigan doesn't care about prom, but she's the exception. It's pretty much the only good thing at her urban Philadelphia high school, and everyone plans to make the most of it- especially Ash's best friend, Natalia, who's the head of the committee.
