"This is a story about a family and, as there is a ghost involved, you might call it a ghost story. But every family is a ghost story. The dead sit at our tables long after they have gone." So begins For One More Day, a novel by the author of Tuesdays with Morrie and The Five People You Meet in Heaven. Charley Benetto's miraculous reunion with his deceased mother offers him -- and us -- a springboard into possibilities. A fiction that seems palpably real.
