I purchased this book at a book fair in elementary school. It was one of my favorite books as a young girl and have read it several times - which is something I RARELY do with books. I can't think of another book I've purposely read more than once (as of 1/2008). There is such a surreal quality about the story that really sets the visual fantasy mind of mine at work.
