A very striking, unusual book. I was caught by its beauty and surprising technique (particularly the use of multiple points of view). It requires several readings and at different levels to be fully appreciated. Can somebody recommend a good version with notes? Southern slang is too tough for Italia ... (continue)

this is really an exceptional piece of literature, that i'll have to read again to fully understand. maybe even a couple more times. so complex, so gripping, so thought out and amazingly written... amazing.
