The revisions to the new edition are purposely kept minimal in order to retain the book's unique tone, wit, and charm. Masterpiece! A must read before anyone attempts to write in the English language.

A great reference and easy to use

I heart this book. A short and thin little reference. Very easy to use and read.

I know giving this classic's classic mere four stars is almost blasphemy, but I do have reservations about its timeliness. Much of it was written more than half a century ago, and even this updated edition dates back to 1979. It is probably no longer the most informative or insightful book on writing style. However, I still enjoy reading it - not for its usefulness, but for the author's delightful prose.
