A great reference and easy to use

I heart this book. A short and thin little reference. Very easy to use and read.

Piccolo vademecum non tanto su come scrivere quanto sull'evitare errori più o meno banali e su come rendere la frase più scorrevole e/o corretta. Molte delle "regole" sono, in tutto o in parte, applicabili solo alla lingua inglese però. E' l'unico libro su come scrivere suggerito da Stephen King nel ... (continue)

I know giving this classic's classic mere four stars is almost blasphemy, but I do have reservations about its timeliness. I know giving this classic's classic mere four stars is almost blasphemy, but I do have reservations about its timeliness. Much of it was written more than half a century ago, and even this updated edition dates back to 1979. It is probably no longer the most informative or insightful book on writing style. However, I still enjoy reading it - not for its usefulness, but for the author's delightful prose.

The Elements of Style is an invaluable reference to anyone who writes (everyone). Revisit it often and you will see its secrets permeate your writing. At 100 pages it fits in anyone's reading schedule and bookshelf.
