There's only one vampire Sookie Stackhouse is involved with (at least voluntarily) and that's Bill. But recently he's been a little distant - in another state, distant. His sinister and sexy boss has an idea where to look. But when Sookie finally finds Bill - caught in an act of serious betrayal - she's not sure whether to save him . . . or sharpen some stakes.

  • Book Review: Club Dead by Charlaine Harris Share

I'm a little peculiar when it comes to books. I value them so highly that I barely crease the spines when I read a novel and books often retain their brand new look once I've finished with them. Perhaps that is a sign of how much I enjoyed Club Dead, ... (read full critics)

"We're obviously better for each other than either of the people we're dating are for us," he said.
    Undeniably true.

"Yes, and I would be happy with you."
"And I'd enjoy sharing my day with you."
"But it looks like we're not going to get there."
"No." He sighed heavily. "I guess not."

"I don't like having feelings," Eric said coldly, and he left.
That was a tough exit line to top.

  • Better and better...

Again it was better than the last ones how does Harris keep doing this?! Im waiting with baited breath for one that I don't like but I'm into book three now and all good so far! Even the Harry Potter series had one bad book!

Anyway this was great story once again I loved the introduction of Alcide, hope we see more of him in future books. Club Dead and Jackson were interesting also, Harris really knows how to create an atmosphere. Sookie was once again such a loveable character and in this book she begins to assert more independence which is a trait her character was lacking and needed.

The choice between Bill and Eric is waaaaay more intriguing than Jacob and Edward!!! I haven't fully decided but Im pushing towards Eric he seems much more exciting. And with the addition of Alcide, Sookie has a third option. He's nice but I'll wait til we see more of him to decide!

    Brilliant book, I loved it!

  • Amazing...again

I am watching the TV-Show and of course it's very different from the book...they're filling it with stories that are not in "Club Dead"...the charachters are the same: Debbie (the phony bitch) Alcide (the hot Were) Russel Edgington (the tenant of the mansion where Bill is kept prisoner)...let's see ... • This is getting a bit better with the introduction of werewolves. But Sookie Stackhouse is quite the faithful one, isn't she? She seems to want to bed every lead character...
