    • This was probably my favorite of the series. It goes into the backstory and provides the greatest understanding of the world Harry Potter lives in.

    • Ever since I started from the first Harry Potter book, J. K. Rowling's words drew me into the wizardry that she wrote. My favorite part of this book is when Harry finds out that Sirius Black is his godfather.

    • This has always been my favorite book of the series. There's so much mystery and so many different plot lines in this one, and you find out the most about Harry and his family.

    • If a real life school offers a compulsory subject with a teaching quality as bad as the "defense against dark art" offered by Hogwarts in the first three books, the school should obviously be in real trouble......

    • I listened to this one for the first time and love it. The narrator, Jim Dale, has improved since the first novel. I can't wait to listen to the next one.

Book Description

Harry Potter, along with his friends, Ron and Hermione, is about to start his third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry can't wait to get back to school after the summer holidays. (Who wouldn't if they lived with the Dursley's?) But when Harry gets to Hogwarts, the atmosphere is tense. There's an escaped mass murderer on the loose, and the sinister prison guards of Azkaban have been called in to guard the school.
