  • I can see why this novel won the Newbery Medal in 2006, but I am not a huge fan. At times it kind of reminded me of Flipped. I think it is interesting and realistic the way all of these kids lives "criss-cross", but not a compelling reason to read. The language and description were wonderful.

for loopholes,
she found one.

Hoping it wasn't
