    Big and ambitious

    Classic King, the complete and uncut version... all 1200 pages of it. The story is familiar: evil devil-type guy and a group of nice, regular american people fighting him, in the aftermath of a plague that has killed off most of the world's population.

    Classic King, the complete and uncut version... all 1200 pages of it. The story is familiar: evil devil-type guy and a group of nice, regular american people fighting him, in the aftermath of a plague that has killed off most of the world's population.

    I loved the first part of the book: survivors of the superflu all scrabbling for sense and sanity in a world gone mad. Once they got together and the God vs. Devil theme came into play, the book became predictable and at times even boring. Not loving it as much as I do other King novels.
