An excellent debut for a promising new series and a good departure for those who are a bit tired of epic fantasy. This book follows the life of Locke Lamora, a professional thief. The structure of the book put me off a bit at first, since alternating sections were flashbacks to his early life, but only because the main storyline was so good. The book was a fun, enjoyable read. Think: a cross between a caper movie and a fantasy novel.
