How on earth did it win a Pulizer Prize?
It rarely happens to me, but I had to give up on this book. It took 1 week to read 66 pages... I simply couldn't do it.
I couldn't appreciate Annie Proulx's prose, with sentences like the following:

Adored this book.
From the believable and beautifully flawed characters to the unique quality of the writing, i was drawn into this book.
